Level 1 MCI - Roxana Rd & Gum Rd

On Thursday, December 31st at approximately 2345 hours, the Roxana Fire Company was dispatched to a MVC with rollover on Roxana Rd in the area of Gum Rd. Assistant Chief Sean Magee arrived on scene as the Duty Officer and established command, with a vehicle on its roof and another in the middle of the roadway. He confirmed a total of 7 patients with 2 entrapped and declared a level 1 MCI. Crews from Rescue 90 and 90-1 stabilized the vehicles and performed 2 door removals. Crews from Roxana, Selbyville, Millville, Dagsboro, the Sussex County Paramedics, and LifeNet 2 provided patient care and transported to our area hospitals. The situation was placed under control and crews were made available when ready.
