Fire Safety Awareness - Keenwick Sound & The River Church

On Saturday August 13th, the Roxana Volunteer Company was invited to participate in two Public Relations events.

In the morning, the department set-up a booth at Keenwick Sound's annual community fair. Fire Prevention information and helmets were handed out along with information regarding the department and several membership applications. 

During the afternoon, we set-up a table with fire prevention handouts and provided an engine at The River Church for their "Fam Jam" event. Everyone was invited to use the handline to flow water knocking down a cone. 

Both events were a success even with the hot and humid conditions and we look forward to next year.
